COLUMNIST, WRITER AND AUTHOR…

Elisa is a regular contributor to MSNBC.com’s “Chew on This” column, and GALTIME.com. She also writes freelance articles for several publications including Parents, Woman’s Day, Weight Watchers, Seventeen, and Redbook, and is the co-author of Feed Your Family Right! (Wiley, 2007) and So What Can I Eat?! (Wiley, 2006). Elisa has also written many letters to the editor that have been published in the New York Times, Time magazine, and U.S. News & World Report.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…

Elisa earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of science in clinical nutrition from New York University.

Elisa enjoys a busy and active life in New York City with her husband Brian and two sons, Spencer and Eli. Playing tennis, newcombe, baseball, and going skiing with her boys are some of her favorite activities. She also loves to take long walks, jog, and weight train regularly (and to spice things up, tap dance and ice skate too). She also makes sure to satisfy her sweet tooth with a little bit of chocolate each day.
